The months of the year are rolling by, and you are the same disorganized, messy, and overwhelmed person you were last month, two months ago, and most likely – the previous year.
You are required to be on top of so many things, like housework, personal self-care, your health, your children’s health, the endless job projects, your money… and you also must set personal goals, improve your work-life balance and make everyone around you (and yourself) happy…
It is overwhelming and frustrating how many responsibilities you’ve got. And when you decide something’s got to leave the scene, you can’t! Because it is all important!
I understand you because I am in the same situation. I love my life, but I am overwhelmed by the number of tasks, projects, and ideas I need to tackle daily, weekly, and monthly.
I’ve created a brief list of 7 areas to consider when transitioning from one month to another. This is an end-of-month checklist for an organized, simple, and happy life. I hope it’s helpful enough to give you clarity and peace of mind.

End-Of-Month Checklist That Will Keep You On Top Of Everything

1. Review Your Budget
You want your money to work for you (not just the other way around). Taking the time to review your monthly budget is crucial for staying in touch with how your money performs.
- Is everything paid?
- Do you have any outstanding balances?
- Review your subscriptions – Do you actively use them?
- Did you put something into your savings account?
- File all your receipts.
- Are you up to date with your financial goals? Do you need to adjust something?
2. Work and Career
Your money is closely correlated to your job and career growth. Staying in touch with your goals and dreams is the one thing that would give you clarity on why you make the money you make and how you can do better (if you are not satisfied, of course).
- Clean your office space – regardless if you work from home or in a home office.
- Review all projects you work on.
- Update your resume with any achievements, courses you’ve taken, or qualifications.
- Check your calendar – is it up to date with your availability?
- Create a “priority list” for next month.
- Set goals – ask for a raise, apply for new jobs, or talk to your manager about your performance. If something’s on your mind, it should become a goal.
3. Your Health
It’s time to leave money and work behind and get to the enjoyable monthly wrap-up.
- Spend a few moments reviewing your health habits for the last month. Are you happy with them? Would you change something?
- Do the same with your diet. Is it nourishing enough, and does it give you the energy to tackle everything that comes your way?
- Are you up to date with your health appointments?
- Do you need to refill prescriptions?
- Do you take your supplements regularly? Do they help you, or should you make adjustments?
- Exercise routine – do you have such, and if not, would you consider creating one?
- Do you make sure you get enough fresh air daily? If not, how can you improve that?
- Are you satisfied with your self-care products? Are you running out of something (if yes, plan a trip to the shop)?
4. Your Home and Family
Once you’ve sorted everything you-related, it is time to turn your head towards your home and family. Here is the best end-of-month checklist for that:
- Are you on top of your cleaning schedule?
- Do you need any cleaning supplies? Add them to your shopping list.
- Is there anything broken in your home that needs your attention?
- Did you declutter and/or donate something from your house?
- Check and restock your emergency kit.
- If you have children: Is there anything they ran out of in the last month? Do they have any upcoming school projects, trips, or shows that need your attention (and funds)? Are there any health appointments coming up?
5. Your Personal Development
I promise you’ll easily navigate the next categories, which are less cluttered than the first ones.
- Did you read a book? If yes, did you add it to your Goodreads or your Reading Journal?
- Did you keep up with your planning system? Is there anything you’d like to adjust?
- Did you achieve your monthly goals?
- Did you sign up for any courses, and did you stay up to date with them?
- Did you go through a personal development challenge? If yes, now is the time to review it. If you need more ideas, here are 50 challenges to choose from.
6. Your Life Planning and Organization
- Are you up to date with your to-do lists?
- Organize your shopping lists for the next month.
- Organize your emails and zero your inbox.
- Clean up and declutter your devices and social media channels (here is a complete guide on how to do it).

7. Mindfulness and Reflection
- Write a gratitude list of all the good things that happened to you this month.
- Review and evaluate your mental health.
- Reflect on your achievements.
Instead of Conclusion
Do you love the idea of having a monthly routine where you review everything from the lists above? Well, that isn’t enough. Create the time for that routine. I promise you, it will be hard the first time only. Once you’ve got it all in place, you will scan the points and write down whatever needs to be done.
