Why a Monthly Reset Routine is Your Ticket to a More Organized Life

I recently discovered the power of a good monthly reset routine while crafting an ADHD Guided planner for my Etsy shop. I was so immersed in creating something helpful for all busy-minded, overwhelmed, and hyper-everything souls out there that I poured my heart into writing what they should do every evening, every Sunday, and at the end of every month.

Fast forward two hours later, and I was shocked at how attractive a monthly reset routine looks. I must admit that I plan for the month, but mainly business-wise.

The furthest I’ve gotten with planning my personal life for the next month is noting birthdays.

That sure is nice! But it’s not nearly enough!

A monthly reset routine would give you clarity on your progress when it comes to personal development, career, and goals. But it would also keep you mindful of how much of your time you dedicate to other things that matter – self-care, family, love, and home maintenance.

I am guilty of moving through the months, mindful of my career goals only. Weeks would pass, and I would remember that I hadn’t texted some of my friends in ages. I would get so consumed in what I do daily that the only way I know a month is gone is if I look at the calendar on my phone (or I get my monthly gas and electricity bill; that resets my mood, for sure).

How do I create a reset routine?

I’m glad you asked!

I will give you 7 areas of your life with tiny examples of what to do in those areas. Your task is to take only whatever resonates with you and apply it to your life. Leave the unnecessary stuff here, and do not overwhelm yourself. I include things that apply to most of us. Yet, you aren’t obligated to go through that extensive list.
