How To Enrich Your Life | 10 Ways To Enrich Your Life

How To Enrich Your Life and What Does It Mean To Enrich Your Life?

The answer to those questions is a bit weird and blurry. How to enrich your life if you aren’t sure what “enriched life” means?

If I were to answer in one sentence, that would be: Enriched life is life with colors.

Now, what does that mean?

To some people, life flows expectedly usual, with no big earthquakes, not too many questions, and a clear path of purpose. And we could easily call that enriched life.

To others, life means ups and downs, challenges, grief, laughter, wanders, and occasional risks. And we could call that enriched life as well.

You see, enriched life isn’t a life of many hardships and wandering around the world. It is a personal experience that fills the soul and makes you cringe at the same time. It’s that sense of purpose and inner fulfillment you wouldn’t necessarily enjoy going through but wouldn’t give up on either.

By the end of this post, you will know 10 things that enrich your life. Read to the very end to see the 10 best quotes of all time for enriching your life.

1. Emotions

How to enrich your life? Add as many positive emotions as possible.

Approaching life positively is a struggle we all have at the moment. Life is different, and we feel pressured to change with it as well. Some changes are slowly creeping into our houses; others are storming our minds and beliefs.

So, how to approach life positively when life is shaking us?

The greatest reason we all have those moments of confusion and anxiety is this: worrying about the future and playing hundreds of different scenarios in our heads, usually simultaneously.

The only way to approach life positively is if we see life positively. And that last part is a daily goal we must put high on our to-do lists. See 17 achievable daily goals that will set the right path for you.

Positive emotions come from positive thoughts, and those come from a determination to turn our backs to whatever scenario we play in our heads.

Now, that doesn’t mean ignoring the real world. Quite the opposite: it means to stay in this present world and stop jumping weeks, months, and years ahead, projecting today’s fears in the future.

2. Adventures/Experience

How to enrich your life? Add adventures to it! Experience the world.

When I say adventures, I always imagine a wild jungle and spooky creatures sneaking behind my back.

But that’s obviously just one of the options. Life’s adventures aren’t always scary and risky. However, they are emotional.

Enriching your life means experiencing many emotions, soaking them, and letting them change you.

Add more adventures to your life. It is possible; you have to be creative. A hike on Saturday morning is an adventure. Painting your living room on Wednesday evening could be an adventure. Allowing someone to love you is adventure also.

3. Risks

There’s a cliche that you always have at least a 50% chance to win if you take risks, but if you don’t take risks, you get a 100% chance to lose.

To me, taking risks is always very challenging, and that’s another reason I’m up for them. Learning to ignore the fears and anyway do that thing always gains something additional – experience. Yes, risks are adventures.

4. Add Love To Your Days

I know it’s on the fourth position, and it should’ve been on the first one.

Enriched life is life full of love.

Allow love to rule inside you, and that’s when you live a life you should be proud of.

To love and be loved is by far the greatest experience this world could give us. And it’s not just about romantic love. It’s about love for yourself, love for the world, and approaching every day with deep Love inside you.

5. Find Your Purpose

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.

Mark Twain

In my understanding, the purpose of life is to live a purposeful life. Yes, a big mess that only creates more and more questions.

We are always living a life of purpose. The question is: Are you happy with your purpose?

Why do we believe that we all have one purpose in life only?

Does it make sense to be here to do one thing only?

Every day, just by waking up, we already shape this world; we touch others’ lives and change them.

Yes, some people have a clearer purpose than others, but because you aren’t sure of your purpose, that doesn’t mean you aren’t living a purposeful life. Think about that for a second.

6. Appreciation of Life

Appreciate life. Show gratitude. Be happy with who you are, and your life will be enriched.

In fact, your life is already enriched, and by finding the little gratitude dots in your days, you shape it better.

Wake up and express gratitude for the fact you are given another day here. Breathe the fresh morning air and express gratitude for this as well. Enjoy the view through your window and say, “I am grateful I have a home.” Walking down the street, say, “I am grateful I have legs to walk with.” Be grateful for the food on your table, the warmth of your bed, your eyes that help you see the beauty of this world.

Cliche? Is it? Then why did you just felt a short glimpse of shame because you never express gratitude for those “ordinary things”?

7. Accept Challenges

Challenges are the grown-ups’ “closet monsters”. We fear them so much that we even refuse to close our eyes in front of them. We stare at them, knowing that we have to open the wardrobe’s door and let them out sooner rather than later.

Accepting a challenge is so liberating, though.

It not only enriches your life but moves you forward. No personal growth could happen until you learn to accept challenges and see them as opportunities to learn, grow, see differently, feel uncomfortable, and change.

8. How to Enrich Your Life? Be Brave

That’s it.

You and I will never admit how scared we are, usually a few times a day. But being brave is essential in this world right now.

Bravery isn’t for the knights in past centuries. Bravery is everyday stepping up for yourself, speaking out when you feel the need to be heard, and walking out when there’s nothing left for you here.

9. Slow Down

Slow down. Be here and now.

We spend most of our days overthinking our yesterdays and worrying about every tomorrow we have ahead.

While doing that exercise, we forget to stay here and live in the only time we truly exist.

Slow down. Live here. Today. Sip your coffee, watch your kids play, and laugh. Look at your partner and notice how much they’ve changed. You changed as well. Did you notice that?

10. Don’t Be Afraid Of Change

How to enrich your life? Change. Change often. Change better. Accept yourself. Accept the world. Accept yourself.

Experiences, adventures, emotions, love, gratitude, challenges – they all change us, and it’s inevitable.

Moreover, as Gandhi said, be the change. Welcome it. Embrace it. It’s beautiful to live this life. It is already enriched life, isn’t it?
