How to Change Your Life For The Better?
We all know that the right habits build a life of success, abundance, and happiness.
But before you build these mindset habits, there’s something else you want to work on.
Your mindset.
Your mindset will make you or break you.
Your mindset will help you achieve everything you want in life or make you miserable and unsatisfied with yourself.
Everything you do with your time, your body, your work, your job, your mental health – it all starts with your mindset and your beliefs.
The way you talk with other people (and with yourself), the way you do your job, the way you react to good or bad news… it all depends on your mindset and your beliefs.
The right mindset would be the one that doesn’t stop your personal growth. In fact, the right mindset will guide you towards being the best version of yourself in any situation.
And these are 7 tiny mindset habits that will help you be that best version of yourself.
7 Tiny Habits to Make Your Life Better
1. Positive thinking as the main pillar of your better self

There’s so much fluff around positive thinking, so many questions, and so many doubts around the ideas of thinking positively that very often we prefer just to ignore it all.
Yet, positive thinking doesn’t mean to smile 24/7 and think that the world is a big sugar cube, and we step on rose petals every time we get out of the door.
Many people believe that positive thinking makes them look silly, unrealistic, and a bit “out of this world” in the eyes of others.
However, positive thinking has nothing to do with silly smiles all day long and ignoring every single problem that crosses our paths.
In fact, positive thinking has nothing to do with any idea of positive thinking you have in your mind.
Here’s my perspective on it!
Positive thinking means that I accept life offers problems, but I also know that every problem comes with a solution hidden somewhere in my mind. My job is not to feel bad about the situation, but to find that solution.
It also means that while I have low vibration, while I’m in a bad mood and I feel like the world and the Universe is against me, I also understand that I am going to get over all that. I will get back up, and I am patiently enforcing this type of thinking in my head.
Positive thinking is when instead of focusing on all the things I want, but I don’t have, I choose to focus on the ways to attract/achieve/invite these things into my life.
Simply put, positive thinking is being realistic that bad things exist and happen, but we have the choice to learn from them or let them bring us down. If today I choose to go down, then I must assure you that tomorrow I will wake up with the determination that I won’t allow anything to bring me down. At least not for too long.
2. Changing your perspective in life

A little bit similar to positive thinking, but still different enough to has its place on this list of habits to make your life better.
Let me tell you a story from the last few days.
I own two blogs, and my fiance and I live from the income of these two blogs.
It’s our small business that we plan on growing and creating something big out of it.
However, the previous few months weren’t that good (because of certain events happening worldwide, 2020), and our monthly earnings were lower than expected.
On top of that, we are in the middle of a house renovation, we completely demolished a room in the house, and the yard looks like a postwar field. Simply put, there are loads of things to be done, and we need money to do them.
Because of the decreased income, though, we must make some tough choices and compromise with the time we said we give to these projects. We believed everything would be done before July, but now it looks like we won’t finish before the end of August.
And that thought of not having enough money to do the things I want to do got me in the last few days. I was depressed and dissatisfied with myself. I felt I’ve failed, and everyone who comes in our house will judge us that we live in a mess for months in a row. I felt poor and miserable.
And that’s not a good feeling. A few days down the rabbit hole, I ended up crying and going into a deep depressive mood that made me hate myself and my life.
Fast forwards two days, and today, I feel fantastic!
What changed?

Did we win the lottery?
Did we find a secret sponsor to fix our mistakes and make us feel better about our rushed decisions?
No!
Nothing changed!
Just my perspective.
I decided to stop whining and look at things differently.
I saw an opportunity to explore my patterns. I saw a chance to learn a lesson and to experiment with what I have.
My fiance and I made some important decisions about our approach to life that we should work on. I found gratitude in myself because I have a roof over my head, we are healthy, and nothing is as horrible and unfixable as I thought.
I changed my perspective on things. The moment I did that, the solutions came, the gratitude revealed itself, the peace entered my soul and mind.
I changed my mindset.
A situation, any situation, is just that – a chain of events and circumstances. How we see them – as a punishment or a chance to learn something, is up to us.
3. Always work towards a goal

Here’s the simple secret to a meaningful life full of excitement and energy: have a goal you walk towards.
Just like the way I look forward to fixing our house, you must look forward to something else – something exciting you must achieve on your own.
Have goals – life goals, yearly goals, monthly, weekly and daily goals. Work on projects. Work on yourself.
Move forward.
Daily.
4. Invite gratitude into your life

One of the greatest changes you could do in your life is building a mindset of gratitude.
Gratitude is the only free tool that brings you closer to the reality of your life.
By appreciating what you already have, you raise your vibration and attract even more of what you love and want to have.
I use gratitude as a manifestation tool and if you’re curious about it, just let me know in the comments, and I will write a separate post about it.
Through gratitude, I healed my depression, manifested my fiance, built my business, and work on fulfilling my dreams and goals.
It all starts with a simple gratefulness in your heart.
Here are a few ways to practice gratitude daily:
- through journaling – I recommend using any of these gratitude journals
- through pray
- through affirmations – these are 35 ideas to get you started
- through daily thoughts and attitude of gratitude
5. Always seek knowledge

We are here in this world to evolve, grow, and develop ourselves into better human beings.
No matter the field you’d like to grow in – your work, relationships with others, self-care, self-perception, and so on; there’s always a material on the subject. And that material is waiting for you to find it.
I’ve already mentioned at least 50 ways to invest in yourself and your future, but here are a few ideas for you right now:
- By reading books
- By taking courses – Skillshare offers two months free access to hundreds of courses on any chosen subject if you click this link here.
- Listening to audiobooks – the book I listen to right now is Getting Things Done by David Allen, and I love it.
- By finding a mentor to guide you on your path
6. Work on self-care without feeling guilty about it

Don’t be one of those who believe that self-care is selfish, and we always put others first.
It’s great to help people and look after them, but who will look after you?
Giving 100% of your energy away is worth it only if you’ve already built that energy up.
How do you build it up?
Through self-care and self-nourishment.
Self-care means health – mental and physical. That’s all you need to know to change your mindset.
If something helps you nourish your mind or body, then it’s a good thing, and you shouldn’t feel guilty about it.
Self-care means you honor your body and mind’s needs.
It means being in a state of mind and health that allows you to be your best self. If that translates into a bubble bath every night – be it. If that translates into saying No when everyone pressures you to say Yes – say No.
I’ve got a cute list of 10 self-care subscription boxes to help you create a consistent ritual of looking after yourself better. Check it here.
7. Be an action-oriented person

One of the best mindset changes and habits to make your life better is to be an action-oriented person.
Having goals is great, but unless you take that first step and then the next one, your goal will be just a dream you never tried to achieve.
The people we all admire aren’t successful because they have big goals, long to-do lists, and great ideas.
We admire them because they took action, they made the step and kept walking.
We admire them because they are already in the gym while we still sleep in our warm beds.
We appreciate them because, by the time we prepare the coffee, they’ve prepared the plan for the next week.
We are in awe because while we drink our coffee, they close deals.
They take action steps.
Be like that!
